We are very excited to announce that Portland sold its patented loo to Victoria, British Columbia on Wednesday, realizing Commissioner Leonard's vision for the public toilets he had designed to address the challenge of providing public restroom facilities that are durable, safe, and cost-effective.
The sale of the loo, which is manufactured by local Portland company Madden Fabrication, will net Portland a profit that will be used to maintain and construct loos in Portland. Since 2008, Portland has sited 4 loos, and their success is now catching the attention of other cities!
