As we've discussed previously, Ramsay Signs is donating the historic White Satin Sugar/White Stag/Made in Oregon sign to the City of Portland, to insure that this key part of our cityscape is retained in perpetuity with a message that represents our city. In the coming weeks, the sign will be changed to read "Portland Oregon," replacing "Made in Oregon" which advertises a private company. It has been a long path to this point, and it is very exciting to see the culmination of Commissioner Leonard's efforts (here, here, and here) to preserve this historic part of our city on the immediate horizon.
Today, Commissioner Leonard dropped by Ramsay Signs to check on the progress of the new Portland Oregon sign, which is scheduled to be in place before Thanksgiving.
