The Portland Water Bureau's 267 kilowatt solar array generated 5,350 kilowatt hours of electricity for the period between April 3 - April 9, an increase of more than 700 kw/h over the prior week.
The 5,350 kilowatt hours generated last week is enough to power an average household for nearly 6 months, or is enough to power approximately 23 average homes for a week!
The Portland Water Bureau also operates several hydroelectric facilities in the Bull Run watershed and in town that generated nearly 90,000 Megawatts of electricity last year. Thats enough to power more than 8,000 average homes each year!
